2008 Wrap

A winter storm moved in the night before the race, but the Metropark staff did a great job clearing the roads and grooming the trails. Thanks, too, to our loyal volunteers who marked and scouted the trail, stood out in the cold while the runners were generating their own body heat, and to the Brighton Optimist Club members that conducted an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids while the race was underway.

Join us for a great warm-up to the trail running season. Wide, groomed cross country ski trails that take you through varied terrain are great for enjoying the natural surroundings or for all-out racing with plenty of room for passing.

Hosted by the Brighton Area Road Striders, this annual event features home-baked goodies, Coolmax® gloves to the first 225 entrants and professional course timing. We're jazzing up our overall open and masters prizes and age group awards this year - so train hard!
